Civil wedding at the town hall of palazzo Cavalli in Venice.

Anita and Joel chose the historically rich Palazzo Cavalli as the venue for their intimate civil wedding ceremony. The first look, a moment as heartwarming as it was beautiful, unfolded at the iconic Ca' Sagredo.

Palazzo Cavalli, located near the iconic Rialto Bridge, is one of the most sought-after venues in Venice for civil wedding ceremonies, with its elegant architecture that echoes the splendor of Venetian tradition. Carrying a rich history, it overlooks the Grand Canal, offering couples a spectacular view as they exchange their vows.

Anita and Joel’s civil ceremony at Palazzo Cavalli was held in a beautifully decorated room lit with natural light coming through large windows. Their ceremony was an intimate affair, brimming with heartfelt emotions. Each moment at the ceremony hall embraced the essence of Venice with serenades from the gently flowing water outside seeping in the background, creating an unforgettable ambience for them to embark on their marital journey.

After basking in the joy of their newfound marital bliss at Palazzo Cavalli, Anita and Joel added more charm to their day by exploring Venice the traditional way – through a gondola. Gliding under the historic Rialto Bridge and weaving through the labyrinthine canal system, they experienced the sheer romantic spirit of the city.

Every precious moment of this incredible day – from the anticipation-filled first look at Ca’ Sagredo to the gondola ride through the mesmerizing waterways – was meticulously captured by Laure Jacquemin, your Venice-based wedding photographer.

Palazzo Cavalli

Located along the Grand Canal in Venice, Italy, Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti is one of the city's most celebrated architectural treasures. Its origins date back to the 14th century, but its current Gothic façade, which is a panorama of classic Venetian architectural elements - ogival quadriforas (arches), poliforas (large windows), Byzantine capitals, and mixed mullioned windows, was largely brought to life in the 15th.

Known for its pristine preservation and stately allure, Palazzo Cavalli-Franchetti remains a preferred venue for organizations for hosting high-profile events and couples seeking an elegant, historic setting for their wedding. The majestic architecture coalescing with the serene views of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge make it one of the most picturesque spots in Venice.
